Double celebration for GCS - February 2009

Once again they have achieved “outstanding” two-star status in the Best Companies Accreditation 2009 project, sponsored by The Sunday Times. For the second year running GCS received the award in recognition of exceptional work practice and employee care throughout the organisation. The award recognises the company’s commitment to excellence in areas such as management and team development. GCS scored highest in the “My Team” category which bears testament to the high level of team-spirit across all of its offices. GCS have followed this news by being short listed for the Best IT Recruitment Firm award in the Recruiter Awards 2009. GCS will be featured in the audio-visual presentation at the Awards ceremony and will appear in the “Book of the Night” which will be distributed at the ceremony, as well as being incorporated in the special Awards issue of Recruiter magazine. Managing Director Chris Bartlett is delighted. “To retain our two star status and be in the company of KPMG, Price Waterhouse and Kelloggs is indeed “outstanding”. We have been through a period of change recently at GCS, in terms of the MBO and the formation of a new board of Directors but it is great to see, from the results of the confidential survey data collected by the Best Companies organisation, that the positive response from all of our staff underlines their support for the changes that we have made. To receive the news that we are short listed for Best IT Recruitment Firm on top of this is fantastic. I looked at last year’s winners and runners up and to be included in their company clearly shows the standing that GCS has achieved. I am proud on behalf of everyone at GCS to be nominated as a finalist” The prestigious Recruiter Awards will be presented at a gala dinner which will take place at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Tuesday 28th April 2009.
