Already firmly established as one of the UK’s pre-eminent IT recruitment specialists, GCS is now gaining major recognition when it comes to their own staffing. Their new website, www.join.gcsltd.com, has been hailed as one of the country’s five best Employer’s websites by online recruitment market leader AlljobsUK.com and will be competing with the likes of Vodafone and Marks and Spencer for the title of Best Employer’s Website (recruitment). “Being nominated for such a prestigious award is fantastic news,” says GCS chairman Chris Bartlett, “and to be in such elite company is truly thrilling”. He continues “We are proud of the achievements of our staff and believe that anyone who joins us is making a superb career move. We worked hard to pour our passion for staff development into the website. I feel that it does us justice and I’m delighted that it is receiving such praise.” An accredited “Investor in People” company, it is clear that GCS takes the progression of its staff seriously. The recruitment website contains clear and concise information about the company culture, the jobs on offer, training and development and the potential rewards for successful applicants. In a personal touch, the website contains numerous case studies of existing GCS staff, all of whom have their own success stories to tell. When asked how he would feel should GCS be announced as the winning company, Bartlett replied “obviously, it would be tremendous to win, especially given the high profile competition in the category, yet the nomination alone is a huge step towards our goal of becoming the household name in IT recruitment”. The winner of the category will be announced on Thursday 13th November at the National Online Recruitment Awards ceremony 2008, to be held in London’s West End.
