IT recruitment firm does it again - IIP, November 2006
Wednesday, 27 August 2008
The Investors in People (IIP) ‘appraisal’ takes place every three years to ensure that it remains relevant in today’s fast paced business environment and, since the recruitment firm achieved the Award at its first attempt in 2001, this is the second time GCS has been re-accredited.
‘The IIP Standard requires a stringent evaluation and best practice assessment,’ says GCS MD, Chris Bartlett. ‘It is an excellent business tool developed in 1990 and designed to advance an organisation’s performance through its people. Therefore, we are delighted that once again we have received this accreditation. It is a testimony to the company’s dedication to staff training and development, business vision and shared strategy.’
GCS was established by two IT professionals in 1989 and recognised that as it grew it made good business sense to formalise procedures, focus on staff development and aspire to the IIP principles of excellent internal communication, performance measurement and continuous growth and improvement. Bartlett goes on to say, ‘Achieving re-accreditation illustrates our commitment to business excellence and communicates internally and externally our focus on continued progression.’
