While A Level results continue to show that girls were more successful than boys in IT, women account for only 20% of the IT workforce.
Employers recognise that diversity is important in the work place and society would beneļ¬t from a more balanced workforce in IT.
The British Computer Society's "Women in IT" category is open to organisations that can demonstrate how they have enhanced opportunities for women in IT.
GCS wholeheartedly support the reward of 'merit' in the workplace and are delighted to sponsor this award which recognises the efforts of organisations in enhancing opportunities for Women.
GCS is proud to have a 50:50 ratio of men and women in its own workforce.
